Too early for Lens, too late for LooksRare
GM - this week we’ve noticed a couple things going thru web3 related graphics: almost no one uses Lens - OpenSea dominance is as sticky as it gets. As illustrated:
Despite ‘making sense’ when pitched as an idea, no one seems to have time for a decentralised Twitter, as we see from the still-lacklustre data both in the sporadi usage trends…
…and just simply total user count:
I guess we all like our followers than we like decentralised infrastructures.
All the while Opensea, the CeFi to LooksRare’s DeFi, is -still- gaining users from its competitors (if they can be considered such at this point):
Volume seems to be strong and steady at ENS, perhaps the most robust market in the space rn:
Nothing glaringly new on the metaverse side…:
…except for the recent funding data that came out — games are still raising well:
Lastly, if you’re brand trying to figure out how to web3 - look at Nike, they must know something:
